Getting off to a good start is important for every race, activity, and event in life. This is also important as we begin each day at Manning Junior High. The faculty and staff have a wealth of information to share every day. Parents are encouraged to take a little extra time to help your child organize materials and create a study/review routine. It is also important that teenagers get rest that their growing bodies still require, since this too plays a role in academic success.
As a final note, the Federal Government; No Child Left Behind (NCLB), and the State Education Oversight Committee (EOC) have set goals for schools each year until 2014 and these goals rise every year. Therefore, we cannot and will not tolerate disruptive behavior at school. As principal, my first order of business will be order! Teachers cannot teach effectively, bus drivers cannot drive safely, and the cafeteria staff cannot serve efficiently if students are disruptive, uncooperative, or fail to follow expectations for behavior. Please remind your child that school is a formal institution for learning.
Thanks to the parents and community for their continued support of Manning Junior High School.
We are striving for Excellence!
